Miguel is the Director of Corporate Finance. He manages and oversees the Group’s treasury, merger and acquisitions and all financing activities at a corporate level. Miguel is originally from Bogota, Colombia. He believes that cash is king and that there should not be strategic decisions, just profitable ones.

Miguel earned his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Operations Research and Entrepreneurship from the University of Los Andes in Bogotá Colombia and his MBA from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

He joined Grupo Phoenix in 2013 after a career in investment banking, first in Bogota and then in New York. He specializes in structuring, negotiating and executing complex financing and investment strategies. He is also focused in managing the cash position of the company while optimizing its uses.

When he is not working Miguel is a devoted family member and who loves soccer, cycling, and watersports.
